Aim of the Course

The aim of the course is to ensure that students have the necessary knowledge and skills enabling them to understand etiology, pathophysiology and management of various types of tumors including leukemias, lymphomas and different forms of solid tumors as well as the pharmacological aspects, adverse effects and interactions of drugs used in different types of malignancies. The students should also have the necessary knowledge about providing the suitable pharmaceutical care to oncology patients and the essential supportive treatment required to control symptoms associated with cancer chemotherapy.
